Iranian short film ‘Triplex’ is to vie at the 2022 Midwest Sci-Fi Short Film Festival in the US.

Iranian short film ‘Triplex’ has found a screening slot at the 2022 Midwest Sci-Fi Short Film Festival in the US.

Ali Kianersi’s directorial debut will make its 4th international screening at the 10th edition of the Midwest Sci-Fi Short fest.

‘Triplex’ is a "15+" (restricted to people aged 15 and above) film.

Iran-based Bahr Films Company, presided by female Iranian director Maryam Bahrololoumi, is in charge of the international distribution of Kianersi’s film.

Qazaleh Nazar, Seyyed-Ahmad Hosseini, Minou Azarmgin, and Yasaman Torabi are some of the names starring in ‘Triplex’.

On May 13-14, 2022, ‘Triplex’ will compete at the Fear Faire Film Festival in the US.

‘Triplex’ has recently succeeded to win the best horror movie award at the 2022 edition of the Clapperboard Golden Festival in Brazil.

The Midwest Sci-Fi Short Film Festival “presents the best of independent, genre-based short films from the Midwest and around the world. It is a one-of-a-kind event for fans of science fiction, fantasy, and horror who want to be introduced to new visual storytellers, styles, and cinema in the accessible and inviting format of short film,” according to an online submission platform.

The latest edition of the festival will take place on the campus of Metropolitan State University in St. Paul, MN on October 15, 2022.
